Michael Jordan gets hitched in Florida

Michael Jordan married Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto on Saturday, April 27 after dating for five years.

Jordan, 50, and Prieto got married at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida, the same church where Donald Trump held his wedding in 2005.

According to Fox News, about 500 guests were in attendance, including ex-New York Knicks Patrick Ewing and former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen.

The reception was held under three huge tents at the Bears Club golf course in Jupiter, Florida and approximately 2,000 guests were invited. One tent housed a guest entrance, reception area, dining hall, band stage, ballroom, dance floor, service corridor and air conditioning units while the other two tents served as guest bathroom areas, reports the Examiner.

According to the New York Daily News, a source told People that “They’ve been planning for months and months. He wanted to give Yvette everything she’s ever wanted.”

The couple has been together since 2008, where they met at a Miami nightclub.

Jordan has three children (Jeffrey Michael, 24, Marcus James, 22 and Jasmine, 20) with ex-wife of 17 years Juanita Vanoy.
