‘Dancing With The Stars’ finale and ‘The Voice’ lead ABC and NBC in Tuesday ratings

Dancing With The Stars finished its season with the lowest-rated finale in its history, but it still drew the most viewers on the night in a head-to-head battle with The Voice. The two shows helped their respective networks split Tuesday night.

ABC averaged 11.55 million viewers, but its 2.1 18-49 rating average couldn’t beat NBC, notes HitFix. The network kicked off the night with a Bachelor clip-show subtitled Funniest Moments, which drew 4.75 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating. The DWTS finale drew 13.76 million viewers for the first hour and 16.13 million for the second part. According to Deadline, its 2.6 18-49 rating was up 44 percent from last week, but 13 percent from the fall finale. It was also down 21 percent from the spring 2012 finale.

NBC had 7.79 million viewers and a 2.3 18-49 rating. After an NBC News special on the devastation in Oklahoma, which had 8.16 million viewers and a 2.0 key demo rating, The Voice had a hair under 10 million viewers and a 3.1 18-49 rating. This was another drop for the show, falling 11 percent. Grimm’s season finale had a 1.7 18-49 rating and 5.22 million viewers.

CBS was in third with 7.54 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Its line-up was made of repeats of NCIS and NCIS: LA.

Fox’s two-hour So You Think You Can Dance had 4.59 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating.

The CW’s repeats of Vampire Diaries and America’s Next Top Model averaged 674,000 viewers and a 0.3 key demo rating.
