Andy Dick on his elimination from 'Dancing With the Stars': 'We are proud of what we did here'

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday, April 30, after a drama-filled round of judging after their performance the night before.

47-year-old Dick told reports after the elimination, "We're sad . . . but it's okay. We are proud of what we did here,"Us Weekly reports.

Although he's proud of his accomplishments this season, he admits that he was emotional upon hearing the news. When asked how he held back the tears, he replied, "By clenching my jaw! If it starts going it won't stop, so I was fighting it! We wanted one more week. Deep down we wanted one more week. And that's how it's been every week . . . 'One more week, one more week!'"

His partner, 27-year-old Burgess, had some choice words for the judges after Monday's show, telling People backstage, "I'm angry, because, for example, Bruno – he stands up every week and says something mean to be funny. You're here to be a judge, to tell us how to be better."

She went on to defend her partner, "I hate seeing Andy be berated week to week for things that aren't dance related."

Burgess also tweeted her gratitude for the fans before the elimination, writing, "I have no words to describe all the amazing love & support I'm reading from you all. @andydick & I are here because of you guys, we truly do it for our fans."
