George Michael released from hospital two weeks after London car crash

Two weeks after getting into a car accident, legendary singer George Michael has been released from the hospital. Michael was a passenger in a car when the accident occurred on the M1 in England.

As we previously reported, his agent said at the time that he was “being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine.”

According to The BBC, the former Wham! singer, 49, was airlifted to a specialist trauma center in London after the crash.

A note on his website notes “We can confirm that George Michael has been discharged from hospital and continues to rest and recuperate. He is well and thanks everyone for all the messages of support.”

At the time of the crash, a woman who helped him as he reportedly fell out of a Range Rover as a result of the crash said “He had a deep cut above his left eyebrow which was really bleeding down his face into his teeth. Even if I had known who it was, I probably wouldn't have recognized him."

Michael lost his license in 2010 for five years after he crashed into a London building with his Range Rover. He was under the influence of drugs.
