Jimmy Fallon creates epic ‘Game of Thrones’ parody to name Seth Meyers the ‘Late Night Heir’ (Video)

Jimmy Fallon created one of his best late night spoofs with Game of Desks, his take on the world of Game of Thrones.

In the sketch, Fallon recruited most of his staff to take roles from the hit HBO series, with himself taking on Lord Stark. According to Zap2It, Fallon had sidekick Steve Higgins play Lord Varys, whose first job is to tell His Grace about an awful writer whose bad Anthony Weiner joke gets him in trouble.

At the end, The Roots made an appearance to show off the “real true Late Night heir,” who is of course Seth Meyers. The Saturday Night Live star was named Fallon’s successor earlier this month and will take over the show in February 2014. Fallon will move up to 11:35, taking the Tonight Show over while Jay Leno exits. The network is timing the late night shuffle for the Winter Olympics.

Fallon had been hyping the Game of Thrones knock off for a week on Instagram before it aired. He showed of some behind the scenes photos and included posters of his crew in Game of Thrones costumes. (He even included one of himself as Daenerys Targaryen.)
