Mountain Dew ad by Tyler The Creator pulled after cries of racism (Video)

A Mountain Dew ad made by Tyler the Creator has been pulled after outcries of racism surfaced. PepsiCo has since released an apology after eliminating the video from its website, but still many videos remain on different YouTube channels.

The commercial shows a severely-battered woman on crutches alongside police officers who press her to pick out a suspect from a lineup consisting of African American men and one goat named Felicia, Ad Weekly reports.

The goat, speaking in a male voice, threatens "snitches get stitches, fool," "keep your mouth shut" and "I'm going to get out of here and do you up."

Since it hit the web, cries of racism have surfaced. Dr. Boyce Wakins called the ad “arguably the most racist commercial in history” in a lengthy post.

Ad Week notes that PepsiCo has since released an apology after removing the ad from its sites. The statement reads, “We understand how this video could be perceived by some as offensive, and we apologize to those who were offended.”

Continuing, a rep for the company states, “We have removed the video from all Mountain Dew channels and have been informed that Tyler is removing it from his channels as well."
