Sarah Jessica Parker and Blythe Danner set to star in Amanda Peet's Off-Broadway play

Sex and the City beauty Sarah Jessica Parker is slated to star in Amanda Peet’s Off-Broadway play alongside Blythe Danner.

According to New York Daily News, the official announcement of Parker and Danner’s addition to Peet’s The Commons of Pensacola was made this week
The Manhattan Theatre Club has announced the show is set to show previews on their Off-Broadway stage October 22 with an official opening date of November 21.

LA Times reports that Danner will play a woman who is forced to undergo a lifestyle change in the wake of her husband’s Wall Street scam.

Parker’s stage credits include Annie, The Substance of Fire, The Heidi Chronicles and Once Upon a Mattress.

Danner previously starred alongside Parker’s husband, Matthew Broaderick, in the Broadway hit Nice Work If You Can Get It.

Parker was slated to take on the role of Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, but her role in the film was cut. Since then she has taken on a small role in Glee and is set to take on roles in Married and Cheating as well as Mixtape.
