TNT renews ‘Boston’s Finest,’ CNN gets repeats

TNT has picked up the reality series Boston’s Finest for a second season. Another Turner-owned network, CNN, will get to air repeats.

Boston’s Finest is a docu-drama that follows the police officers in Boston. Executive producers include actor Donnie Wahlberg, Seth Jarrett and Celebrity Ghost Stories’ Julie Insogna-Jarrett, Donnie D. Productions and Jarrett Creative Group, reports The Hollywood Reporter. During its first season, the show has averaged 1.3 million viewers, including DVR viewing.

According to Deadline, repeats of the show will air on CNN, which has been adding more reality programs. Just yesterday, CNN announced Chicagoland, a series on Chicago that Robert Redford is executive producing. CNN has also renewed Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown.

Boston’s Finest is the first reality show from TNT that has earned a second season. ITs first reality show, The Great Escape, lasted just one season.

Turner’s other network, TBS, has renewed its unscripted show, King of the Nerds.
