Trace Adkins named 'All-Star Celebrity Apprentice' winner, wants to become mentor on 'The Voice' next

Donald Trump named Trace Adkins the winner of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, giving him the edge over Penn Jillette. But Adkins isn’t ready to throw in the towel of reality television, in fact he is interested in joining The Voice as a mentor.

Adkins explained after his big win that he would love to join his friend Blake Shelton on the hit NBC show.

He told E! News "I watch it cause Blake [Shelton] is my buddy. And I watch what he is going to do to make an ass out of himself from week to week I would love to be on the show and go out there with Blake. That would be lots of fun."

But that’s not all. Adkins would like to get into the world of scripted television as well.

“I enjoy acting. I have a few movies that are coming out," he said. He added, "I don't have a plan…Music is still on my top list of career things to do."

People notes Adkins raised $1,554,072 for the American Red Cross during the past 11 weeks on the show. He also won $250,000 for the charity for winning the show. On the other hand, Jillette raised $598,655 for Opportunity Village.

"Sometimes in life, we begin a task wondering if it's the right thing to do," he said after winning. "Tonight, I can proudly say that competing on the show a second time ended up being a very good thing. I was honored to play for the American Red Cross – they came to my family's aid when we needed them, and I am a man who repays my debts."
