Drew Brees responds to a fake online accident story

On Friday a rumor developed online that quarterback, Drew Brees, was involved in a serious car accident.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback went onto Twitter Friday to squash a rumor that he broke both his legs in a car accident, according to New Orleans WDSU News.

“I am fine, Not sure where the car accident story came from. It is not true. I appreciate everyone’s concern but I am ALL GOOD!” Brees posted.

The story said Brees was driving a 2012 BMW, when he crashed into a 2010 Audi driven by a 76-year-old woman, who failed to stop at a stoplight. Brees was later taken to the hospital for his injuries

The Insquisitr reported the hoax was first posted on Global Associated News. The website is known for creating fake hoaxes and celebrity deaths, as users are allowed to create their own stories easily.

Other celebrities who found themselves in the middle of hoax stories published from the Global Associated News are Owen Wilson, Tom Hanks, Eddie Murphy, and Usher.
