Lady Gaga returns to the recording studio

Lady Gaga has picked up right where she left off. The 27-year-old “Marry the Night” singer is back to work in the studio. The singer has been laying low ever since she underwent hip surgery earlier this year. She suffered an injury on tour. The injury caused the superstar singer to take a step back, and forced her to cancel the remainder of her tour, the Born This Way Ball tour.

Now, about three months after surgery, Lady Gaga is back to making music. Idolator reports, the “Bad Romance” singer shared a photo on her website, Littlemonsters.com, of her and songwriter Dallas Austin at a recording studio. She flashes her middle finger in the photo as she faces away from the camera.

It appears Gaga is resuming work on her latest album entitled ARTPOP. While it is not yet known when she’ll make her return to the big stage, she is slowly easing back into performing again. According to E! Online Gaga performed for the first time post-surgery a few weeks ago. She joined jazz singer Brian Newman at New York City’s Gramercy Park Hotel. She and Newman performed “Someone to Watch Over Me” in front of a small crowd.
