Lindsey Vonn on Tiger Woods: 'We relate to each other'

Lindsey Vonn attended another event this week and unlike at the Met Gala when she and boyfriend Tiger Woods refused to answer press questions, she was happy to speak about her new relationship.

Vonn, 28, said she and Woods, 37, don’t make sense as a couple because of the opposites attract theory, instead she said it’s their similarities that keep them in tune.

"We just are happy," she told People at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York. “We're similar. We're both at the top of our sports, and we relate really well to each other."

The Olympian also said that while she won’t be skiing until September, she’s had the summer to spend with the golf champ. As she trains for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, she’s only doing strength work so all she needs is a gym closeby.

“There's not much distance. I'm just in the gym right now, so I can be anywhere,” she said. “I'm not skiing until September. So, it's been great. We haven't really been apart that much."

Vonn even defended Woods to Extra, referring to the Memorial Tournament this past weekend, “Come on, he had one bad week, give him a break! We’re not broken up… things are all good. Everyone just chill out.”

She also said of the Met Gala, “That was fun. I don’t know if he really thought it was as much fun as I did. He enjoyed it, just not the red carpet stuff. Hopefully, he will come back. Maybe I have a little convincing to do.”
