'Big Brother' Recap: Season 15, Episode 4

This episode of Big Brother was filled with surprises, showmances, arguments over wine, and the first live eviction of the Summer. This episode picked up where the last one left off with Jessie, Elissa, and David up for eviction. Nick and Elissa expressed how upset they were about McCrae putting them up for eviction after giving Candice the Power of Veto on Wednesday. Nick even said that he is gunning for McCrae. After being put up for eviction in replace of Candice, Elissa decided to open up to the rest of the house guests in order to remain in the house. She tells Andy and Amanda about being related to Rachel. Amanda said that this “makes her look trustworthy.”

The showmances were definitely in full effect in this episode. Jeremy and Kaitlin flirted with each other and ended up making out. Later in the episode, Amanda visits McCrae in his HOH room. Surprisingly, they laid down in his bed together and talked. They also made out out and Amanda admits to McCrae that she likes him. McCrae was shocked, yet flattered.

The Have Nots talked about how much it sucked to be Have Nots. They talked about how they could not wait to not be Have Nots anymore at midnight. The rest of the house guests agreed to wait until midnight to have wine with the Have Nots. However, Jeremy decided to take the bottle of wine and sneak a sip. When the Have Nots found out that the wine was missing, they had speculations of who took took the wine. They all believed that Aaryn took the bottle and gave her deadly stares. When Aaryn told Jeremy that the Have Nots were being “two-faced” and talking about her behind back, drama ensued. As a result, Jeremy confronted the Have Nots. Next, Amanda confronted Jeremy in defense of the Have Nots, and he told her to shut up. Helen was in tears from all of this drama.

Later in the episode, Amanda, Judd, and Spencer discussed having Elissa to stay in the house. Next, Spencer and Judd told the rest of “The Moving Company” to vote for David for eviction. I can agree with Andy when he says that “the mood of the house is kinda weird.” Before the Voting Ceremony, each nominee had a chance to sway the house guests’ votes by making brief statements. As HOH, McCrae could only vote in the event of a tie. The results of the votes were zero votes for Jessie, five votes for Elissa and seven votes for David. With the most votes, David was the first house guest to be evicted this summer. Aaryn was heartbroken and there was dead silence in the house after David’s eviction. During his interview, David said that his very good social game caused his eviction and that he felt a weird vibe before his eviction and was expecting to be evicted. he also admitted that he really liked Aaryn. David being evicted from the house proved that “anything can happen,” according to Julie Chen.

After David’s eviction, the HOH Competition took place. Because he was the current HOH, McCrae was not eligible to compete in the competition. In celebration of Independence Day (July 4), the HOH Competition was called “BB Barbecue.” The competition will end and the new HOH will be announced on Sunday, July 7 at 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CT.

To vote for next week’s BB MVP, viewers can text the house guest’s number to 81818 visit a href http://cbs.com/bigbrother/. The viewers can vote up to ten times until Thursday, July 4 at 9:00 pm EST. The new BB MVP will be revealed Wednesday, July 10 8:00 p.m. EST/9:00 p.m. CT. At a new time on Thursday, July 11 at 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CT, the Voting and Eviction Ceremony will next place.
