The nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 were announced Wednesday morning, with Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis earning the most nominations. Several others, including Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and P!nk, earned multiple nominations.

MTV used social media, including an Instagram video, to announce the nominees for the top prize - Video of the Year. Timberlake’s “Mirrors,” Mars’ “Locked Out Of HEaven,” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop”, Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Swift’s “I Knew you Were Trouble” will compete for the award.
