1. Taylor Swift “Red”

Swift fans have been waiting for a new music video from the female country superstar; unfortunately, “Red” might disappoint fans looking for another storyline driven video. This video features clips from Swift’s current Red tour. “Red” does prove that Swift has a fan base behind her unlike most artists on the top 40 charts today, “Red” already been viewed over two million times and counting.

2. Miley Cyrus “We Can’t Stop”

Miley Cyrus has been making more tabloid headlines then music hits lately but with the release of her new single, “We Can’t Stop,” and upcoming album the tides may be shifting. Cyrus’s days of Disney are long behind her. The video features odd images and large stuffed animals. Reinvention is important to an music artist in 2013 but this reinvention might have gone in the direction of strange instead of positive.

3. OneRepublic “Counting Stars”

OneRepublic had been away from the national musical spotlight for a while but has returned with the smash hit, “Counting Stars.” OneRepublic has matured their musical sound and has re-energized their fan base. The video for “Counting Stars,” does not disappoint.

4. P!nk featuring Lilly Allen “True Love”

P!nk has always been one to express her personal life through song and “True Love” is a prime example. The video features her beautiful daughter, Willow and husband Corey Hart. The song is a different direction for P!nk but showcases a fun, softer side of the pop driven artist. A bonus for P!nk fans is seeing footage of her high flying acts during her latest tour.

5. Fall Out Boy “Alone Together”

With each single off of Save Rock ‘n’ Roll the boys behind Fall Out Boy have been telling a story. The video for “Alone Together” is part four of the eleven-chapter story. The story picks up from the last video and finds the band in straight jackets. This music video progression has fans wondering if the entire album was written as a continuous story. Either way, Fall Out Boy is back on the music scene and keeps leaving fans coming up for more with cliffhangers and catchy melodies.

6. Cold War Kids “Lost That Easy”

With bands like Fun. and Imagine Dragons topping the billboard charts, the fan base of Cold War Kids is likely to continue to grow. Their unique and electric driven sound is showcased in this colorful showcase of videography. The video flows with the song in a way that compliments instead of distracts.

In 1998 a band called NSYNC* made their lasting impression on the music industry, screaming girls and all. It is hard to believe that now in 2013 front man Justin Timberlake has become one of the music visionaries of our time. Jack Johnson is known for his guitar and uplifting lyrics. Simply put, this song is happy and will make you smile.

9. Nine Inch Nails “Came Back Haunted”

For rock fans, Nine Inch Nails is back with a new song and eye jarring music video to match. The colors and visuals amuse the eye while the song captivates. A simple trick of the eye, might have been the creative vision after all.

10. Robin Thicke featuring T.I., Pharrell “Blurred Lines”

Robin Thicke currently owns the summer of 2013 with his dance track, “Blurred Lines.” The combination of Pharrell and Thicke is one that other artists will have a hard time matching. The video is sexy, just like the track.
