'The Simpsons' and 'Family Guy' doing a crossover episode called 'The Simpsons Guy'

The Simpsons and Family Guy are planning a crossover episode, in which the two cartoon families will meet each other and will be called The Simpsons Guy.

Peter Griffin and his family go on a road trip and end up in Springfield, where they bond with Homer, Marge and the Simpsons crew, voiced by Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria.

According to EW, while Lois and Marge bond, Peter and Homer also bond and debate over which beer is better – Pawtucket or Duff. All in all, the families become friends and Homer welcomes the “albino” family with open arms.

In a statement, Peter said “FOX hasn’t spent this much money since they took Simon Cowell tight T-shirt shopping,” and Homer said, “Finally I can get my hands on this guy!”

The Simpsons-Family Guy rivalry has become much friendlier these days, with Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane playing a part of The Simpsons’ 24th season finale and last year Castellaneta had one line in Family Guy.

The crossover will air next year.
