Gunman goes on deadly rampage in Pa. town supervisors meeting

A monthly town supervisors meeting in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, turned deadly Monday night when a shooter came into the building, fatally shooting four and injuring others.

The gunman allegedly had an ongoing issue with the township officials over the possible loss of his property.

According to ABC he first shot through the wall of the meeting of about 15 people at 7:30 p.m., before coming in and shooting four people dead.

The gunman then went to his car to retrieve another weapon. When he returned, West End Open Space Commission executive director Bernie Kozen bear hugged him, tackled him to the ground, and then shot him with his own gun, USA Today reports.

Kozen is now being hailed as a hero among the traumatized township officials who narrowly escaped the gunman.

The gunman was captured and treated at a nearby hospital before being released back into police custody. At least two others were injured but officials have not released the names of those dead or injured.
