Jennifer Garner: Ben Affleck may go into politics

Jennifer Garner says her husband, Oscar-winning Ben Affleck, may eventually go into politics.

Affleck, who is well-known for acting but has recently taken on more directing projects, has long been involved in politics reports People Magazine. For example, Affleck founded the Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010. The organization's mission is to raise money and awareness for the war-torn region. His interest in politics has also been visible in his work in the film industry. For example, his Oscar-winning film Argo was about freeing Americans who were trapped in Iran during a revolution.

"Would I be surprised if one day he did go into politics? No. But not now," Garner, 41, says. What's keeping him from jumping into the political fray immediately? Garner explains, "Right now, [Ben] feels like he can do more good for people politically from outside the system."

However, Garner says that she would support her husband if he chose to embark on a political path. "I'm along for the ride," she says. According to the Inquisitr, if Affleck were to jump into politics, Garner would take the lead in raising the couple's three children: Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Samuel, 17 months.

Garner says that she was always meant to be a mother, recalling that she always had a baby doll tucked under her arm wherever she went as a kid. She also had a babysitting service when she was a teenager.
