Katherine Jackson, the grandmother of the late Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, is speaking out about her health and well-being after her suicide attempt.
Paris was rushed to the hospital in June after police received a 911 call in the middle of the night.
Paris’ grandmother says of the 15-year-old that she’s “in a good place” and “getting the help she needs” at a private facility that specializes in helping youth with depression.
“The treatment is going good, really good. She’s my baby. It’s hard for me, really hard. All I wanted [for] these kids to be is happy,” Katherine told Hello!. “The night Michael died Paris was crying and said, ‘I want to go and see daddy; I don’t want to be without him.’”
Katherine also said although her son was “a very good father, the best,” she said when she gained guardianship of the kids; Prince, 16, Paris, 15, and, Blanket, 11, she said she didn’t want to shelter them.
Sources told Access Hollywood Paris’ suicide attempt was more of a “cry for help” than anything else.
