Officer Tom Jones did not recognize '70s star David Cassidy during DUI arrest

David Cassidy got another DUI in the early hours of Wednesday morning while he was in Schotack, New York. He was in town from Fort Lauderdale and he often spends time there during the summer.

When he was stopped at a DUI checkpoint, he blew at .10 and was subsequently arrested. This time he was charged with a felony because he also got a DUI a couple of years ago. He also got a failure to dim lights charge.

According to ABC Local, The Chief of Police Bernhard Peter said the arresting officer, Officer Tom Jones, did not recognize the ‘70s star, now 63, as he was too young to know who he was.

He was released on $2,500 bail, arraigned at the Schodack Justice Court and held at Rensselaer County Jail.

Peter said Cassidy "cooperated and was a gentleman.” He was in the car with his fiancé and they were driving to go meet friends. Since she wasn’t intoxicated, she drove his car away from the scene.
