'Snooki & JWoww' approved for production against town's interests

New Jersey is attempting to rebuild the shoreline after Superstorm Sandy destroyed much of it, but that won't stop shooting of the MTV reality show Snooki & JWoww. For now.

Although Ocean County Superior Court Judge E. David Millard granted Snooki and JWoww the okay to continue production, town officials are weary of the decision, according to the Associated Press. Residents are afraid that filming will get in the way of the rebuilding and recovery of the town.

However, town residents are doing all they can to stop production. The reality show is set to take place in a house on Pelican Island. Attorney Ron Gasiorowski is attempting to fight that filming the show in that house is a violation of the town's residential zoning ordinance, reports Philly.com.

Although many neighbors are complaining, Rocco Vita, who lives across the street from the house, claims that he hasn't been bothered by any tourists during filming, and that the cast and security are actually rather friendly.
