Taylor Swift surpasses Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Madonna with most sold out shows at LA Staples Center

Taylor Swift has reached yet another milestone in her career. The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer has tied for the most sold out shows at the Los Angeles Staples Center with Latina group Mana.

After Saturday’s show, she will be tied with the group for a whopping 11 sold out shows at the famed arena.

Los Angeles Times notes she does share the feat with Mana, but she gets the distinction all on her own for being the first solo artist to reach the milestone.

Swift will have surpassed the industry’s biggest names, such as Madonna and Justin Timberlake – who have each sold out seven shows at the Staples Center – and Britney Spears, who sold out eight shows.

On Tuesday, Swift, 23, was honored for her big accomplishment by her Red tour promoter, Staples Senior Vice President and General Manager Lee Zeidman.

E! Online reports that 20 lucky college students also got to see Swift get the honor – a commemorative plaque as well as an inscribed silver cuff – as part of the Recording Academy's GrammyU program.

"It's been fun having you guys here for sound check! Usually that's just something we do every day, but having you here made it a little bit more special," she told the group. "It's been so exciting to show you what we do, and hear from your perspective the things you're curious about."

She then offered them all tickets, joking, "You know, if you're not busy!"
