'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' will feature new track from Coldplay

Grammy Award winning band Coldplay will release its first ever track for a movie. The band will release “Atlas” later this month and it will be available on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

USA Today reports that the song will be debut August 26 and become available when the soundtrack hits the shelves November 22.

Director Francis Lawrence released a statement praising Coldplay saying, "I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film. Their unwavering passion and excitement for the project elevated the collaboration even further, and we can't wait to share this music with audiences around the world."

Coldplay announced the news on their website and lead singer Chris Martin shared a photo on Twitter of the song lyrics.

“Caught in the fire, say oh/We’re about to explode” the lyrics read.
