Country star and The Voice judge Blake Shelton has been singled out as the controversial Westboro Baptist Church’s next target. Clearly, the group has not learned that country stars are not afraid of them as Shelton responded to them directly on Twitter.
The group tweeted that they plan to boycott Shelton’s performance in Kansas City on Oct. 3. They say that Shelton is still married to his first wife, Kayette Williams, and that his marriage to Miranda Lambert is a sham. “Now BC prances around the set of NBC’s The Voice and pretends he’s not a vulgar adulterer hated by god,” the group said.
But, as the Huffington Post noted, Shelton wasn’t afraid to respond to the directly. “Hey WBC.. I’ve got one more sin for ya... Blow me,” he replied.
He also sent out another tweet that read, “Hey @WBCSays... How'd you get Napoleon Dynamite to picket for you?!! That's awesome!!” and included a photo of one of their protersters. Another tweet from Shelton read, “Hey @WBCSays.. This isn't about God. It's about me using this opportunity to make y'all look like the absolute complete dipshits you are.”

The last time the Westboro Baptist Church went after a divorced country star, it did not go well for them. Earlier this month, they confronted Vince Gill before his Kansas City show.
“Don't you know that divorce plus remarriage equals adultery? Jesus Christ said that,” one protester asked.
Gill replied, ““Did he? You know what else he said? He said a lot of stuff about forgiveness, about grace. You guys don't have any of that."
