'Breaking Bad,' Saul Goodman spin-off show ready to go

With Breaking Bad drawing closer to its fateful series finale on AMC, fans are wondering if they'll ever see more of the characters they've come to love, or in some cases, hate. The answer is yes, yes they will. Show creator Vince Gilligan has confirmed that a spin-off show starring Bob Odenkirk reprising his role as the crook lawyer Saul Goodman is finally in the pre-production process. The yet-to-be-titled show will be a prequel to Breaking Bad .

From its inception this idea had fans talking, and now that it's finally off the ground, everyone is left wondering when it will come. Slash Film states that the show will have one-hour episodes and probably won't be as dark as its Parent show, but possibly more comic in regard to the character. Although with the evolution of Walter White in Breaking Bad it's never to soon to speculate.

Goodman's character is a fan favorite and was finally green-lit for his own show when Breaking Bad hit impressive numbers with it's fourth season. Back in April the show was just being talked about, and now it's in full swing. Vince Gilligan told Vulture "I like to think of Saul as a cockroach in the best possible way, this is a guy who’s going to survive while the rest of us have been nuked into annihilation. He’ll be the worst-dressed cockroach in the world.” This will get fans more than excited for more Saul and friends after Breaking Bad makes its final bow on September 28.
