Bryce Dallas Howard in early talks for ‘Jurassic World’ role

The Help actress Bryce Dallas Howard is reportedly in early talks with Universal Studios about a role in Jurassic World, the fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise.

According to TheWrap, Howard had been linked to a role previously, but she just received an offer from the studio and negotiations are only in the very early stages. The news was also reported by Deadline.

Universal announced earlier this month that JP4 would be titled Jurassic World and that it will be released on June 12, 2015 in 3D. It is being produced by Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall and Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) is directing. Trevorrow also wrote the script with his frequent collaborator, Derek Connolly.

Howard is on track to become a major Hollywood star, following roles in Spider-Man 3 and Lady in the Water. More recently, she appeared in The Help, 50/50, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Hereafter.

Jurassic Park was released in 1993 and directed by Spielberg. It and the 1996 sequel The Lost World were based on the novels by Michael Crichton. Joe Johnston directed 2001’s JP III. The three films have grossed $1.9 billion globally, with the 3D re-release of the first film making $114 million worldwide.
