Giants fall hard to the Panthers 38-0

The Giants get embarrassed as everything goes completely wrong in a 38-0 loss to Cam Newton's Panthers.

The Giants are off to an 0-3 start for the first time since 1996. It is also the first time they are 0-3 under Tom Coughlin and he certainly was not happy about this loss.

“We never gave ourselves competitively a chance to be in the game,” Coughlin said. “‘Disappointing’ is not a strong enough word. I expected more. We built towards more, but it just was not the competitive game I thought it would be.”

Right now, it looks like this Giants team can forget about their hopes of playing a Super Bowl at home, considering they look nothing like the team who bounced back from an 0-2 start to win it all just a few years ago.

According to NYPost.com, this game was dubbed the "Desperation Bowl," being that both teams came into the game without a win. The team that came out on top was the team who showed how desperate they were to win.

NY Daily News reports that the Giants were beating themselves, as Will Beatty had two huge holding calls on him in the first and second quarters, one of which erased a touchdown.

“Something’s definitely going to have to happen, because this is intolerable [in] every sense,” Giants safety Antrel Rolle said. “This is just bad all the way around. I don’t have any answers. We have to find our way.”
