Mother of unarmed football player Jonathan Ferrell speaks out

After car accident last Saturday, Johnathan Ferrell, 24, was only looking for help when he knocked on a random door.

The un identified caller called the police, and mistook Ferrell for a burglar. However, when Ferrell ran at the cops to alert them he needed help, he was greeted with 12 bullets shot by Officer Randal Kerrick;two of them missing.

Georgia Ferrell, mother of the victim, stated that she does forgive Kerrick, but she wants justice as well.

Kerrick is charged with voluntary manslaughter and if convicted will receive 17 years in prison.

Micheal Greene, his attorney, believes he’s not guilty.

According to NYDailyNews.com Green believes that “It will be found that Officer Kerrick’s actions were justified on the night in question.”

However, the family attorney of the Ferrell’s, Chris Chesnut, has witnessed 20 seconds of video from the police dash cam.

According to CBSNews.com, Georgia Ferrell, “I don’t want to bury my son, my son should be burying me.”
