Model Tyra Banks debuts new photography project in New York.

Banks has a new photography project entitled Tyra Banks Presents: 15. It is composed of 15 raw and un-retouched black and white photos of Banks portraying 15 of the most iconic supermodels. These models are her friends and colleagues as well as her competitors.

Banks chose to represent 15 different icons because it was at that age when she started modeling. Each photo shows Banks with hair and make-up to help her look more like the models that she portrays. Banks used make-up to appear lighter in skin tone to represent models like Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, and Cara Delevingne.

Banks's show opened on Sept. 9, the same day fashion icons Naomi Campbell and Iman spoke with ABC News about adding more diversity on the runway.

Campbell, Iman, and former model Bethann Hardison came together to form an advocacy group entitled "Diversity Coalition." They criticized famous designers for not having many models of color in their shows.

"The statistics, it's really shocking," Campbell said. "Heartbreaking. Your body and beauty, it doesn't matter what color you are. If you've got the right talent, you should be there having the opportunity to do the job."

Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, and Armani, are a few of the designers being called out for their lack of diverse models.

"You know, this is not the business of shaming," Iman said. "And as we go back again to clarify it, nobody is calling any of these designers racist. The act itself is racism."

ABC News contacted many of the designers, but none have responded to the request for comment.

Banks show runs from Sep. 9 through Nov. 9 in New York.
