'Breaking Bad' turning into an opera

A New York city based symphony is working on a mini-opera based on an adaptation of 'Breaking Bad.'

The Wrap reports that the One World Symphony is working on a mini opera based on the adaptation of Breaking Bad and a poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley entitled "Ozymandias."

The poem was referenced in promo's for the show, and was also the title for one of the episodes.

The mini opera, created by composer Sung Jin Hong, will take place Jan 26-27 next year.

Details still have to be arranged.

AMC and One World Symphony have not responded to requests for comments, making it unclear if the opera will happen.

One World symphony have done events like this in the past, including a 2012 flash mob adaptation of "Carmen" in Whole Foods in the Time Warner Building.

"At this very moment, the details of Breaking Bad — Ozymandias (2014) may not be confirmed, but I hope to explore the question that the drama obsessively and hauntingly asked: ‘are we all breaking bad?" Hong posted on the One World Symphony website.
