Katy Perry streams entire 'Prism' album online before its release

Katy Perry's third album, Prism, is scheduled to release on October 21,but the singer is allowing her fans listen for free ahead of time.

Her website features a free stream of all 16 songs from the album. Fans can also pre-order the album from iTunes and Amazon.

Perry announced the news on Twitter Thursday, only asking fans in return to report their opinions of the album back to her. She wants to know what everyone's favorite song is and how her songs makes people feel.

Perry also revealed her favorite song from the album, which will be her next single.

According to Entertainment Wise, Perry's big reveal may have something to do with Lady Gaga and Britney Spears also releasing new albums in the upcoming albums. To stay ahead of her competition, the “Roar” singer wanted to make her fans as familiar with her album as possible.

The “Firework” singer has been a busy girl lately – she was recently named the official CoverGirl and she celebrated her boyfriend, John Mayer's, 36th birthday on Tuesday, reports the Daily News.

We will see in a few short days if her streaming tactic and her gold promotional semi truck for her upcoming album prove to be successful for Perry's Prism.
