Lady Gaga unveils album art for 'ARTPOP' in live stream

Lady Gaga has released the album cover for ARTPOP after teasing her fans on Twitter Monday morning. She revealed she would be unveiling the album art through a live stream on her website.

She teased this morning:

She also shared how nervous she was to show the cover, which seemed to hold a lot of significance for her. “I'm nervous&excited to share something that's such a piece of my heart. Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his,” she said of the artist, Jeff Koons.

Gaga then revealed the cover around 1pm on Monday after the 30-minute live unveiling:

The cover shows that Koons took a sculpture of the singer and used it for the album art. Behind the statue are pieces of a painting she references a lot, Sandro Botticelli’s “The Birth Of Venus,” Idolator reports.

ARTPOP comes out Nov. 11, with the lead single being “Applause,” which came out Aug. 19.
