Paul McCartney calls Yoko Ono a ‘bada–,’ has let go of ‘grudge’

Paul McCartney is opening up about making peace with Yoko Ono, he widow of the late John Legend after years of feuding.

The former Beatle said of Ono, who has been accused of breaking up the band, that she’s a “bada**” and if Lennon loved her, then he should as well.

“I thought, ‘If John loved her, there’s got to be something.’ He’s not stupid. It’s like, what are you going to do? Are you going to hold a grudge you never really had?” he told Rolling Stone.

McCartney even revealed it was fellow bandmate, George Harrison, who urged him to let go of the long withstanding grudge he had against her. They have mostly fought over Beatles song credits.

“George would say to me, ‘You don’t want stuff like that hanging around in your life,’” he said.

According to ABC News, McCartney did an interview in 2012 in which he said the Beatles would’ve broken up with or without Ono in the picture.

“She certainly didn’t break the group up, the group was breaking up,” he said. “I don’t think you can blame her for anything.” Ono even responded to that, telling The Times, “I mean, I was shocked. I thought, ‘Now you are saying it? Now, after 40 years?’ But it was very good. In the atmosphere that the world created for us, it was not easy for him to say something like that.” She added she’s “very, very thankful.”
