The Civil Wars- 'Dust to Dust' video review

The Civil Wars have released the video for their delicate ballad titled “Dust to Dust.” And oh, my- it’s so beautiful, romantic, nostalgic and sentimental, that it should be adapted into a movie.

“Dust to Dust” is the track featured on their second self-tilted studio album that was released on August 6 and has only received the words of praise by the critics. Now the soft folk ballad has a video to match.

The video located in Paris, features Joy Williams and John Paul White as they spend quality time together on the streets of the city of love and light. The video starts with White writing a letter in a coffee shop that he never ends up sending, while Williams sits alone in a bar and drinks wine. The two roam the streets in their solitude, until they are finally brought together by fate. They meet at the bookshop and then proceed to have coffee, explore the city and sing on the lover’s bridge.

The video was actually created with long-forgotten footage from a while ago, when The Civil Wars traveled to Paris.

Williams has said in a statement: "When we re-discovered what we'd once thought to be lost footage from two years ago, these forgotten images from a trip to Paris strangely seemed fitting for the feel of "Dust To Dust." For me, it's like stepping back in time. Hope you can also enjoy these simple moments captured in one of the world's most beautiful cities."
