Victory and Associates debut 'Better Luck Next Life'

Victory and Associates are a quartet out of Oakland, California. The punk inspired band has just released their sophomore album, Better Luck Next Time.

Better Luck Next Time feels like a large improvement and advancement from their first album These Things Are Facts. This sophomore debut from Victory and Associates feels like a darker take on the punk music genre. This darker tone does not bring about a depressing feeling with the music, just an interesting take on a very popular genre. Fans can hear the post-hardcore influence throughout the album but the band seems to be going more towards a rock/pop sound.

Better Luck Next Time feels like a fun and fresh take on the punk music genre. The album starts off with high energy and impact with the opening single of, “We’ll Have To Be Our Own Heroes.” This track sets the tone of the album, which is aggressive but still brings a unique vibe to punk music.

Stand out tracks on the album include, “Are We Having Fun Yet?”, “Ignore Button” and “The End of Memory.”

Victory and Associates have grown musically over the past years and fans are now looking forward to what will come next for the band.

Victory and Associates are currently on tour.
