Alec Baldwin, MSNBC confirms show cancellation

Alec Baldwin has been fired from his job at MSNBC after his latest tirade landed him in hot water with the press.

Earlier in the month, news broke of Baldwin’s latest rant and as a result of his actions, Page Six is reporting that MSNBC has decided to cancel Baldwin’s television show, Up Late with Alec Baldwin.

Earlier this month, TMZ , published video of Baldwin yelling insulting remarks and gay slurs at a photographer he was in a confrontation with. Baldwin quickly issued an apology shortly after in an official statement saying,” I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have -- and for that I am deeply sorry."

Despite his apology and suspension following the incident, MSNBC has to decided to follow through with their decision. A rep from MSNBC told press that Baldwin’s firing was a "a mutual parting" and saying, "We wish Alec all the best.”

The Hollywood Reporter has just confirmed the Nov. 29th episode will not air as planned. Baldwin’s rep, Matthew Hiltzik has followed up, saying, “We are jointly confirming that Up Late will not continue on MSNBC.
