Hugh Jackman had skin cancer from nose removed

X-Men actor Hugh Jackman recently went to the doctor to get checked for skin cancer and posted on Instagram about how people should also get checked.

ABC News reports that the Prisoners actor posted a picture on his Instagram Thursday with a small bandage on his nose.

"Deb [wife Deborra-Lee Furness] said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma," Jackman wrote in the caption. "Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

Jackman's cancer, basil cell carcinoma, is the most frequent form of cancer and can easily cause damage. It's lucky his wife is looking out for him.

Recently, news has been fluttering about over a possible third film in the Wolverine series. Jackman told EW, "There are some really cool ideas that I'm dying to tell you, but that would be giving away a secret that is not even fully formed yet."

It was also reported that Jackman and The Wolverine director James Mangold were in early talks about developing a third film. Which isn't a surprise, since the second film did well enough to pull in $413 million in worldwide box office numbers.
