Nicole Kidman and Jason Bateman are both signed on to star in the upcoming feature film, The Family Fang. The film is an adaptation of the Kevin Wilson bestseller. The Family Fang will tell the story of two performance artists who often would bring their kids into bizarre events. Once the children are grown and return home, the parents ask them to help with their final creative performance.
Deadline.com reported that Bateman is now signed on to direct the film. The script will be written by David Lindsay-Abaire. Abaire wrote the screen adaptation for Rabbit Hole, which Kidman received an Oscar nomination in.
This will be the second time for Bateman being behind the lens. Bateman also directed Bad Words, a comedy that stared Allison Janney and Rachel Harris. Bad Words premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The Huffington Post added.
The Family Fang will go into production next year.
