Man accidentally butt-dials intended murder victim

Larry Barnett was planning on murdering a former employee at Legend Motor Company in Jonesboro, Ark., but he never got that far as he accidentally butt-dialed his intended victim, who then overheard entire plot.

Barnett was discussing his plans on how to murder his former employee with another person, while the person listened in, after Barnett somehow accidentally butt-dialed him, The Huffington Post reports.

His would-be murderer talked for 90 minutes about the plan and provided directions to his victim's house. The man said to police that Barnett told the unknown third person, "I don't care if you have to burn his house to the ground with him in it. I don't care what you have to do, make it look like an accident."

According to The Daily Mail, the victim called the police while still listening to the phone conversation. It's not clear where the victim was when he received the phone call, only that he wasn't home.

Police then arrived at the victim's home to find that assailant had already hit the home. The third person left the house burglarized and the gas stove meddled with in preparation.

Barnett has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
