'Argo' writer Chris Terrio to work on 'Batman vs. Superman' script with David Goyer (Report)

Chris Terrio has become one of the hottest screenwriters in the business, especially for Warner Bros. After winning an Oscar for writing the adapted screenplay for Ben Affleck’s Argo, Terrio has been attached to several projects. Now, he’s reportedly been tapped to work on Batman vs. Superman with David Goyer.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Terrio will take a look at the script for the superhero film, which will star Affleck as Batman. Henry Cavill is returning as Superman and Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman.

Jason Momoa is also in talks for a role, while Variety reported earlier today that Joaquin Phoenix was offered a role.

Sources for THR explained that Terrio has been called in to get the script in top-shape before director Zack Snyder starts filming in Michigan early next year.

Argo was Terrio’s first feature credit, but he has developed a close working relationship with Affleck. He is reportedly writing The Foreigner, which might be Affleck’s friend Matt Damon’s directorial debut.

Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
