The show that is the number one most watched episode for the hit biker drama was September’s season 6 premiere. The season premiere eposide featured a very controversial school shooting at the conclusion of the eposide.

This season of Sons was one of the most successful seasons of the show, drawing in an average of 7.3 million viewers. Sons of Anarchy will return for its seventh and final season in the fall of 2014, reported E! Online.

When the original airing of the show and encore showings are combined, the finale was watched by a total of 6.4 million viewers.

This season finale was emotional and featured the death of a major member in the cast that had been around the show from the very beginning. This now sets up the show to really examine it's main character, Jax Teller, played by Charlie Hunnam and see how he can handle this emotional loss.
