Tessanne Chin wins season 5 of ‘The Voice’

It all comes down to tonight, the winner of the Voice will be announced. Before the results could be announced, the finale featured an all-star celebrity cast and many musical guest appearances.

Opening the show was all of the contestants who advanced to the live show this season, Outasight, “Tonight Is The Night.”

The top three vocalists had the ability to bring back their favorite contestants and sing a song of their choice. Jacquie Lee brought back, Matthew Schuler, Caroline Pennell, Cole Vosbury and James Wolpert. This dynamic team took on Queen’s classic, “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Next up Celine Dion and Chin took to the voice stage to perform, “Love Can Move Mountains.” When it was announced that Chin would be performing with Dion, she was overwhelmed with emotions and began to cry.

One Republic followed that amazing performance from Chin and Dion and sang their next hit “I Live.” It was also announced that leader singer, Ryan Tedder has written and produced an original song for the winner of this season of The Voice.

The men of The Voice teamed up again to cover Bruno Mars hit, “Treasure.”

Jonny Gray, Austin Jenckes, Cole Vosbury and Caroline Pennell joined Will Champlin for his bring back performances. The group got to perform their own unique cover of, “Wagon Wheel.”

Jacquie Lee performed with Paramore during the finale.

The girls from this season of the Voice teamed up once again to perform, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” which was originally performed by Kelly Clarkson.

Continuing with the all-star performances, Celine Dion returned to the stage to perform her latest single with R&B superstar Ne-Yo, “Incredible.”

Will Champlin took to the stage to perform, “Wake Me Up,” with Aloe Blacc.

Tessanne Chin brought back for her group performance, James Wolpert, Preston Pohl, Oliva Henken and Grey Paluzynski. The group sang, “Hold On, I’m Coming.”

Before the results were announced, Lady Gaga took to the stage to sing her latest single off of ARTPOP, “Do What You Want.” During the performance coach Aguilera joined the superstar on stage.

The time arrived for the results. Coming in third place this season was Will Champlin from Team Adam, in second place was Jacquie Lee from Team Christina. The winner of season five on The Voice was Tessanne Chin.
