Warren Buffett is still among the richest men in the U.S. and his wealth continues to grow. A new study says that the Berkshire Hathaway CEO made $37 million per day in 2013.
Wealth-X’s annual study of the country’s richest billionaires revealed that Buffett added $12.7 billion to his wealth, making him the largest gainer of the year. The philanthropist's total net worth is now an estimated $59.1 billion.
However, he is still behind Microsoft founder Bill Gates. He was in second place with the most added wealth at $11.5 billion, but Gates’ personal wealth is at $72.6 billion.
Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson took the No. 3 slot with a gain of $11.4 billion, bringing his total to $35.3 billion.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos brought his personal wealth up to $34.4 billion, so he has a few extra bucks to spend on his drone delivery system. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg brought his wealth up to $24.7 billion.
The rest of the top gaining billionaires in the U.S. are: Masayoshi Son ($19.1 billion in total); Sergey Brin ($30 billion); Larry Page ($29.9 billion); Lui Chee Woo ($19.6 billion); and Carl Icahn ($22.1 billion).
As CNBC notes, the Top 10 billionaires made a combined $101.8 billion to add to their total net worths.
