‘The Skeleton Twins’ has been acquired by Lionsgate

The Skeleton Twins has been acquired by Lionsgate/ Roadside Attractions. The film had its premiere at Sundance’s U.S. Dramatic Competition at the Library Center Theatre on Jan. 18.

Roadside co-president Howard Cohen told The Hollywood Reporter, "Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig give brilliant, breakout performances as a live wire but also out-of-control brother and sister who have to reconnect, and we fell in love with Craig Johnson's amazingly assured film."

The Skeleton Twins is a story of Maggie and Milo, twins who coincidentally cheat death on the same day. The comedy stars Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader. Milo is an aspiring actor in Los Angeles and Maggie is a dental hygienist in New York. The twins find laughter in their difficult times, according to Variety. Wiig and Hader share the big screen with co-stars Luke Wilson, Ty Burrell, Boyd Holbrook, and Joanna Gleason.

Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader were known for their comedic style on Saturday Night Live. Kristen Wiig was also seen in Anchorman 2 and on television in The Spoils of Babylon. Bill Hader’s work has been on the small screen in The Awesomes and South Park.
