Andy Lau might join the Chinese version of 'The Voice'

Popular star, Andy Lau, is considering joining the Chinese version of The Voice. He would be one of the celebrity judges on the popular show.

This is season three of the popular singing competition in China. The Voice of China is a vocal competition and a version of the popular format created by John de Mol. It is a successful show in China, with regional broadcasts on Zhejiang Television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lau would join Chinese pop star Na Ying, Taiwanese singer A-Mei and Chinese rock artist Wang Feng to judge a panel of hopefuls.

Lau is something of a sensation in China with over 150 credits to his name and a recent hit with the film, Firestorm. Firestormcreated a buzz with fans this past year. In the action thriller, Lau plays a police inspector, determined to stop crime. The film had a great premiere at the Resorts World Theatre in Singapore. According to Variety, it was shown as part of the ScreenSingapore event, held at the same time as the Asian TV Forum.
