Euro band the Eurythmics set to perform in a Beatles tribute

The Eurythmics are set to perform at a Beatles tribune called The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles.

The Eurythmics, known for their cool synthesizer sounds, made a splash with the song “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” when they released their first album in 1981. Annie Lenox and Dave Stewart were pursuing solo careers, but decided to reunite for the special event.

Ken Ehrlich, producer of the Beatles special, thought that the Eurythmics would be the best choice to honor this iconic group. According to the Associated Press, "When it came around to booking this show, what I felt was important was to try and find those artists who not only would be able to interpret Beatles songs, but would also have an ... understanding of what they meant," Ehrlich said in an interview.

Producers can’t confirm if Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr would attend the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The special will air on CBS on Feb. 9, exactly 50 years after The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullvian Show .
