Jan. 31 Birthdays: Justin Timberlake and Vernon Davis

Singer Justin Timberlake and San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis are celebrating their birthdays Friday, Jan. 31.

Justin Timberlake, who appeared on The New Mickey Mouse Club as a child, celebrates his 33rd birthday today. Timberlake burst onto the scene in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the boy band N'Sync.

N'Sync produced top five hits such as "Bye Bye Bye," "It's Gonna Be Me" and "This I Promise You." All of these hits came from the album No Strings Attached.

After N'Sync broke up in 2002, Timberlake took on a solo career and continued to have success with singles such as "Rock Your Body" and "Cry Me a River."

With the album FutureSex/LoveSounds, Timberlake produced No. 1 singles such as "SexyBack," "What Goes Around… Comes Around" and "My Love."

Vernon Davis, a two-time Pro Bowl tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, celebrates his 30th birthday today.

Davis was drafted by the 49ers with the sixth overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. Davis initially appeared to be a bust when he endured injuries in his first three seasons.

He broke out in 2009 though when he co-led the NFL in touchdown catches with 13, which was tied for the record for tight ends before Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski broke the record with 14 in 2011. He also posted 78 catches and 965 yards that year.

In the 2011-12 season, the 49ers won the NFC West and advanced to the NFC Championship on a game-winning touchdown catch by Davis with nine seconds remaining to defeat the New Orleans Saints. This became widely known as "The Catch III," the sequel to "The Catch" by Dwight Clark in 1982 and "The Catch II" by Terrell Owens in 1999.
