Lady Gaga explains why her 'Do What U Want' video release is delayed, says she's been 'betrayed' and 'mismanaged'

Lady Gaga took to her website to explain to her fans why her “Do What You Want” video featuring R. Kelly has been delayed for so long, after she originally said it would be out last month.

The ARTPOP singer explained in the post that she’s been “betrayed” and “mismanaged” when it comes to the video and working after her injury.

She may be shedding some new light into her split from manager Troy Carter when she explained, “Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result.”

"It is late because, just like with the 'Applause' video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it," Gaga wrote, adding, "It is very devastating for someone like me, I devote every moment of my life to creating fantasies for you. All my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored."

Gaga has been through some ups and downs with her latest album, with her second single initially supposed to “Venus” but changed to “Do What U Want” at the last minute, MTV News reports.

“Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more," she wrote. “Unfortunately after my surgery I was too sick, too tired, and too sad to control the damage on my own. My label was not aware that this was going on."

It’s still not clear when the Terry Richardson-directed video will come out, but Gaga did just release a studio version of “Do What U Want” with Christina Aguilera on iTunes.
