Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar chances for 'Wolf of Wall Street' keep improving

This could finally be the year that Leonardo DiCaprio brings home that elusive Academy Award. DiCaprio has been snubbed in years past and it is looking more and more like he will be bringing home an award this year. DiCaprio is already nominated for best actor for his performance as Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street and according to The Huffington Post, this past Tuesday he also received a nomination as a producer for The Wolf of Wall Street.

DiCaprio joins fellow director of the film Martin Scorsese with double nominations for the 2014 Academy Awards. The Wolf of Wall Street gained very positive reviews from critics and is up for several awards, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Picture. This year’s Oscar nomination for DiCaprio marks his fifth overall Oscar nomination. He has been nominated for Best Actor three times for his work in the films The Aviator, Blood Diamond and now The Wolf of Wall Street. He also has received one Best Supporting Actor in his younger days for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? reports E! online.

DiCaprio is no stranger to the Oscars and is very well known for not having won an Academy Award. He has been involved with many films that are received very well by critics and many have been nominated for Academy Awards. DiCaprio chances for winning an Academy Award have improved greatly and this could finally be the year that he brings home the award.
