Michael Muhney of 'The Young and the Restless' fired for allegedly groping co-star

The Young & the Restless star, Michael Muhney, was fired after allegedly groping his female co-star's breast.

The Wrap reports that Muhney was let go from the series in December after allegedly groping his co-star, 20-year-old Hunter King, on two different occasions.

Sources tell TMZ that king reported the incident, claiming the acts were unsolicited and unwanted.

Muhney, who also was reportedly a problem on set for a long time, tweeted the news to his fans.

Though the allegations have not been confirmed, Muhney told The Huffington Post about the reason for his departure in December before these allegations broke out.

"That is entirely on me. CBS, Sony, and [executive producer] Jill Phelps are not to blame for that," Muhney said. "But it could be financial or story. It was explained to me that CBS and Sony want to give Adam a break for 3-6 months and then they'll bring him back with a different actor."

Muhney, King, and CBS have not responded to requests for comment regarding the new allegations. After 5 years on the show, Muhney's last episode will air Jan. 30.
